The Dormant N'Erudian Facility is a Drzyr facility in quarantine thanks to the infestation of alien lifeforms. N'Erud's solution to the infestation is sealing the facility, then releasing deadly gas throughout to eliminate all virulent lifeforms. It's your job to lift the quarantine by eliminating all enemies before the gas releases automatically. There are two ways to do this, but whichever way you choose you'll need to hurry. If you don't finish the job before time's up, you'll be eliminated as part of the infestation. If you do, there are many rewards to reap!

Objectives
Eliminate all virulent lifeforms.
Rewards
Siphoner
Toxic Release Valve
Memory Core II
Failsafe
Leech (if you are outside the Control Room when another player initiates the purge)

Starting the Clock

Just inside the facility entrance are a sealed door and a World Stone next to a passage that leads into the dungeon. Follow the passage until you reach a large airlock. Step inside to cycle the doors and gain entrance to the facility:

Initial airlock

While you're inside the airlock, an automated announcement informs you that virulent lifeforms have been detected in this sector, and that "quarantine protocol" will be initiated unless all of them are neutralized. There you have your objective: you have to kill everything inside.

What's more, as soon as the announcement ends a timer begins. You have six minutes to clear the facility of all enemies. If you fail, the system automatically initiates a purge, which is the release of toxic gas throughout the facility to kill everything inside. This, of course, includes you. If you do run out of time and the system-initiated purge kills your character, don't worry. The dungeon resets and you can try again.

You can kill everything to end the quarantine in wo ways. The simplest way is the "run-and-gun" method which is just running through the entire dungeon and killing everything. The better way is initiating the quarantine protocol manually from the hidden Control Room.

Whichever method you choose, you'll be under a time constraint so you don't have time to waste getting lost. Fortunately, the Dormant N'Erudian Facility map is essentially a large square. No matter which way you go once you enter the place, you'll be fine and should find everything you need to find without much difficulty. Once you get inside, just pick a direction and keep pushing that way. You also don't need to worry about picking up loot as you can come back for everything once the dungeon is safe.

Run-and-Gun

This method is pretty self explanatory—just run through the dungeon and go nuts. If you do this, just know that you'll miss out on some of the rewards.

To succeed with the "run-and-gun" method of clearing the facility, just follow the square. You'll find the enemies in several groups, which is convenient. First, it lets you sprint through much of the dungeon to save time. Second, you can kill the virulent lifeforms fairly quickly since they're consolidated into groups. Each group will contain a bunch of common enemies and one elite enemy.

When you find a group, kill everything as quickly as possible and sprint to the next group. After you kill the last enemy, you'll get a "Quest Complete." Don't leave the way you came in, though! Instead, skip to Finding the Control Room and continue with the instructions there.

Initiate the Purge

If you want all that this dungeon has to offer, clear it using this method. Basically, you find the Control Room and initiate the purge yourself before the timer runs out and the system initiates it for you. Any Stamina boosts or Movement Speed boosts come in quite handy in this endeavor. For example, equipping the Bisected Ring allows you to sprint past all enemies without worrying about running out of Stamina. You can get where you need to go without any boosts, but use whatever you think gives you the best advantage.

Finding the Control Room

Sprint through the dungeon and pass by all the enemies. You don't need to fight them, you need to find a secret ledge. Continue through the dungeon until you reach a large, curving catwalk with rails on either side:

The curved catwalk

Continue along this catwalk until you reach a gap in the outside rail:

If you look over the edge of the catwalk at this gap, you'll see a narrow ledge below. Carefully drop down onto this ledge. ↓

The secret ledge

Follow the ledge to the left and drop down onto a small platform. Enter a passage through the door leading beside the platform and follow it to an elevator. The passage splits, but you can take either fork as they come back together very soon.

Take the elevator up and follow the passage past a large, airlock doorway and to a treasure chest. Loot the chest, then proceed through the large airlock doorway and onto a wide catwalk. Cross the catwalk to another large, open, airlock door. This is the door to the Control Room:

Decision Point

If you chose the "run-and-gun" method and have already killed everything, you can skip down to Don't Forget the Glyph! section. Since the quarantine is already lifted, you will not be able to activate the control panel in the Control Room.

If you are playing co-op with other players, you have a choice to make. Your next step is initiating the purge. When it starts, the large, airlock door closes and protects everyone inside the Control Room from the deadly gas. All characters outside of the Control Room will die in the purge. So what's the choice?

If you're outside of the Control Room and die in the purge, you receive the Resonance trait as a reward. If you're inside of the Control Room and are safe, you don't receive this trait. So there's your choice: die and get the extra trait or survive and don't get it. If you're playing solo, you will obviously be safe (sort of) inside during the purge.

S.D. 0A7

Everyone inside the Control Room is safe from the poison gas, but not at all safe from the Aberration that's about to enter the room through a duct in the ceiling. This is a powerful Sentinel Drone, S.D. 0A7:

S.D. 0A7

Defeat the Aberration to receive the Failsafe mutator along with the usual rewards for killing an Aberration, but beware! If a player initiates the purge but all characters inside the room die, you're finished with this dungeon. The facility remains sealed and you won't be able to get back in to continue the fight with S.D. 0A7.

Don't Forget the Glyph!

Once the purge is finished and you've defeated S.D. 0A7 (or you've killed everything during a run-and-gun clear), be sure to look to the right of the control panel to find the Biome-Control Glyph:

Biome Control Glyph

Pick up the glyph and use the World Stone Shard in the Control Room's back passage to leave the dungeon. Once you've spawned in at the dungeon entrance, re-enter the dungeon to find yourself back at the sealed door and Dormant N'Erudian Facility World Stone:

Use the Biome-Control Glyph to open the sealed door. Inside you will find the Toxic Release Valve on a pedestal to the right. In the center of the room is an energized device. Check it to find and take the Memory Core II quest item:

Congratulations! You've cleared the infestation, shut down the quarantine, and reaped the rewards.
