Losomn is not one world, but two worlds that have existed in what might be described as different dimensions...until they were smashed together with disastrous results for one of them.

The realm of the Dran is basically London's East End during the late 19th-century, a realm in which Jack the Ripper would have felt quite at home. The Dran are a fairly simple people, but they have been driven mad with fear in, as they call it, the stitching of the worlds. Since that catastrophe, they have found themselves prey for the Fae, vicious invaders from the parallel realm.

The realm of the Fae is one of magnificent castles, strongholds in which nobles scheme and connive in their never-ending scramble for power. With the collision of worlds, the Fae have made an awful discovery for the Dran. Some Fae have taken to hunting the Dran to eat them, regarding their flesh as a new and exotic delicacy. Thus, Fae hunting parties can be found in the realm of the Dran while Dran prisoners and victims litter the realm of the Fae.
