A small piece of metal on a chain. There are a few basic facts about a soldier from a bygone era etched on its surface. It's an odd piece of ephemera, but it feels right to hold on to it. Driver would have liked the idea that at least this made it out of the unforgiving jungle.

"I'm not even really sure myself why I held on to this blasted thing all these years. Maybe it's just a reminder of who I am and where I came from.
