Tiller's Rest
Tiller's Rest is a Sewer dungeon on Losomn. Thanks to a series of nefarious events, is now home to a unique and very dangerous beastie, a Spirit Wisp. The Spirit Wisp is an incorporeal that possesses other creatures and drives them to murder, even the murder of their closest friends.

The Locks
A series of locks divide Tiller's Rest into four sections. These locks are large, iron gates. Each opens when you pull the lever next to it, but there are two things to consider when you reach for that lever. First, the gate opens incredibly slowly. Second, as it opens you'll be flooded with an onslaught of enemies, so be prepared for a fairly lengthy fight each time you open a lock. You'll have to open three of them to complete the Tiller's Rest quest.
Here's a quick overview of the sections you'll explore:
- Entrance: encounter the Dran Outcast
- Sewer section: encounter the Spirit Wisp, ends at first lever
- Sewer section: Ends at second lever
- Sewer section: Ends at third lever, which opens the gate back to the Entrance section
The Dran Outcast
As you work your through the first section of Tiller's Rest, you'll hear a voice call to you, "Oy, over here."
Follow the voice to find a Dran crouching behind a grate. Approach and interact with him to hear his incoherent ramblings about some sort of beastie:
He tells you that the thing hides in the dark, calling to the Dran, setting them against each other, and feeding on them. Proceed through the dialog as you wish. At the end of your exploration of Tiller's Rest, you'll return to the Dran Outcast, so keep him in mind.
As you continue past him, you find that the two exits from the area are blocked by the large, iron locks typical in this dungeon. You can't open either one, but you can bypass the one that's more or less across from the Dran Outcast by climbing a nearby ladder, walking through a short tunnel, and dropping into the next area.
It's in this second area that you'll encounter the Spirit Wisp. Approach it and let it possess you:
Its glow surrounds your character but doesn't do any apparent harm. Continue working your way through this section until you reach the next lock. This is the first one you'll have to open using the lever, so prepare for a fight and pull that lever.
Once the lock is open and you've cleared the area, proceed through the gate and work your way through the sewer to the next lock. Open this second lock and fight off the enemies that swarm you.
Head through and explore through this section until you reach the third and final lock. This fight will feature more enemies than the last two, so be ready.
Clear the enemies, pull the lever, and proceed through the final lock. Doing so puts you back at the bridge just in front of the Dran Outcast's grate. As you approach this bridge, the Spirit Wisp leaves your body, flies around a bit, and drops the Spirit Wisp Amulet on the bridge. Your quest here is complete!
Choice of Rewards
Your quest is complete once you return the Spirit Wisp to the bridge in front of the Dran Outcast, but you still have a decision to make. As soon as you pick up the Spirit Wisp Amulet, the Dran Outcast calls to you again—he wants the amulet. You have two options here, and your choice determines which reward you'll receive:
- Keep the Spirit Wisp Amulet
- Give it to the Dran Outcast and receive the Outcast Ring
To get both rewards, you'll have to play through Tiller's Rest twice in different rolls. That's it, enjoy your reward!
