After you obtain the Bookbound Medallion, speak to Leywise at the Forlorn Coast on Losomn and choose the following dialog options:

Tell him, "I have something for you."
Ask him, "Is this your medallion?"
Continue the dialog and, when given the opportunity to give the medallion, reply "Actually, It sounds important. I'm keeping it."
When Leywise offers to trade for the medallion reply, "No thanks, I'm keeping it."
After he calls you a baseborn thief reply, "Okay, let's trade. [give medallion]."
