Melee Weapons are tools for hand-to-hand combat. They are used when foes are standing inches away. Swords, hammers, knives, axes, spears, and the like comprise this kind of weapon.

Note that some melee weapons can double as ranged weapons of sorts. These can be thrown or, perhaps, cast a projectile of some sort. Usually, this ranged attack replaces the melee weapon's charged attack. This kind of melee weapon is called a Throwable Melee Weapon in this guide.
